Ashraya Project

ANTURE is proud to be a part of the up and coming charity event for the Ashraya Project (May 5th – June 4th 2012). This charitable event aims raise much needed funds to support the less fortunate children of India, as such ANTURE has created an exclusive mesh dress for the event, in which all proceeds will go to the Ashraya project.

The Sarame dress, will only be available at the fair and therefor will not be avaiable to the public until the event officially opens. Sarame features real life images and a hand painted peacock design. As the dress is mesh it will come in four of the standard sizes (XXS,XS,S & M) and a demo will be available so you can try before you buy.

ABOUT ASHRAYA

Ashraya is an organization based in India which operates with the purpose of providing aid to Indian children in need and abused women through the implementation of various projects.

From the organization’s website:
“Ashraya”, meaning ‘Shelter’ has brought hope and love into the lives of several hundred children and women, over many years. Founded and registered in 1982, the Bangalore based organization is dedicated to finding solutions for children within the frame work of their own biological families, or in adoptive homes. Initially, the organization’s main function was to work with and rehabilitate destitute, poor and abandoned children. As is true in so many nations throughout our world, the quality of care for institutionalized children suffers due to lack of resources and financial support. When founded, Ashraya’s purpose was to improve the quality of care for these children.
The organization operates under the firm belief that such institutions are best only as temporary placement for children, and adoption has become a large piece of Ashraya’s mission. Through the important work done here, hundreds of children are placed with their forever families and are able to enjoy happiness and a bright future.

Education is highly valued by Ashraya, and that is why the organization also supports endeavors to provide schooling to children who would not otherwise be able to learn to read and write.
By helping children lead safe, happy lives and providing them with the important tools that a solid education can bring, Ashraya continues to improve the world, one young life at a time.

ABOUT OUR PROJECT

Our focus with this project will be to come to the aid of the many Indian children who need us today through the sponsorship of basic needs items as well as study programs. By participating in The ASHRAYA PROJECT, you too may help to provide food for a day or even a week, a pair of shoes, or clothing.
It is our hope that through our donations, we are able to help fund the education for as many children as possible. This, we believe, is a worthwhile cause.

Plans are currently underway for this exciting event which will open on May 5, 2012, with a KICKOFF CELEBRATION PARTY and two FASHION SHOWS featuring a live showcase of exclusive items which will be available at the FASHION FAIR running from May 6 until June 4.
Each vendor participating in the fair has agreed to offer at least one exclusive item, and the full proceeds for these exclusive items will be donated to Ashraya.

Throughout the month, we are planning various live performances for your enjoyment, and the event will close with the ART EXPO from May 28 until June 4, at which exclusive artistic creations from many talented artists on the grid will be featured and even available for purchase.
An ongoing raffle will also run during the event at which participants can win a variety of prizes ranging from personal styling sessions to photo shoots.

Our event will be held at two sims which have been graciously donated to us by BONAIRE ESTATES, and we are excited to be partnering with them for what promises to be an incredible project. The LM of the sims will be sent soon.

So many of the grid’s top designers have joined our team and will be participating as vendors in the fashion fair, and we are pleased to announce that we still have some spots available to add even more designers.

Thea – ANTURE’s First Mesh Dress

ANTURE is pleased to announce the release of our very first fully rigged and 100% mesh dress. Thea comes in two styles a plain stripe and a graphic version featuring a hand painted design with the words ” Love is a Gamble”, both styles come in 7 colours and three sizes as set out by the Standard Sizing System (XS,S,M). We have demo’s available at our mainstore location and would recommend you try them before you buy a specific size.

Exciting News!

Hi Everyone,

Here at ANTURE we have been working hard to learn the art of mesh and finally we have some promising results, even though we’ve had even more nightmare encounters!

I am proud to announce that all ANTURE’s Mesh products will be modelled using the Standard Sizing for Mesh as set out by Minnue Palen& Thora Charron (of LeLutka), Siddean Munro (of Slink), Elie & Anouk Spot (of Mon Tissue) and Jaden Celoe & Shay Sibrian (of Celoe).

A new year with old wounds

Although many look at the start of a new year as the start of something new, for many in Japan they literally are having to start again. I’m sure many of you will remember the horrific earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on the 11th of March 2011. Although the destruction this disaster caused it has faded out of world news as time has gone by, however this disaster is far from over, the people of Japan are strong and honourable but they still need our help to rebuild their homes and lives. When I say this I don’t mean just building their homes and communities again, the destruction caused by the disaster tore not only homes, businesses and communities down it also tore families apart, many lost children, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters they will need help and support long after the towns, cities and communities are rebuilt.

ANTURE was originally formed as Anthropología in order to participate in the Japan Relief Fund organised by Serene Faith (Miss Virtual World 2011) and Ji Nirvana. An extraordinary amount of Second Life content creators joined to help raise much needed funds for Japan in partnership with AmeriCares. ANTURE was no different we released Kaiko as our 100% donation item, we continue to sell the ‘Kaiko’ dress at our mainstore and all proceeds are still 100% donated to AmeriCares, so please stop by and continue to support Japan.

It is with all of this in mind I ask personally for you’re continued support, many designers and content creators are still selling their JRF products and also many host the JRF donation kiosk at one or more of their locations, it is with this I ask again to give as little or as much as you can afford to help the world of SL help Japan!

Itza Dress & Time Tank

With 2012 now underway ANTURE has been busy working on our Spring designs, along with releasing two new releases! We have also made available store cards which allow our customers to send as gifts or to use themselves, also our new Customer Loyalty Reward Scheme has been rolled out allowing you to gain a loyalty when you reach a certain amount spent in store. I won’t give away the bench marks just yet as we want it to be a nice surprise for our loyal customers, in the coming weeks we will also be setting up a group discount for ANTURE VIP’s. Also ANTURE is now part of the WOMENstuff group and look forward to being able to participate in future hunts, please look out for our gift at the WOMENstuff Lounge!

The Itza dress is pure red and will be coming out in new colours soon but we would like you the customer to help decide what those new colours should be by using the following poll.

This dress features a purely sculpted chest decoration and a slim fit skirt!

The Time Tank was inspired by the Harry Potter series and we are sure that any Harry Potter fan will understand instantly why! This tank top comes in 6 colours and will make the perfect everyday look, and each only costs 60L$!

ANTURE – Updates

As many of you may know Anthropologia was re-branded earlier this year to ANTURE, not only this but I ended up with RL work commitments. After 2 months away ANTURE is back and ready to bring some new and exciting looks to the grid. Our first release however is sticking to Christmas Tradition by incorporating beautiful reds and greens in the form of sculpted Holly decoration on a flowing red base.

Anthropología has moved!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to write and let you all know that the Anthropología Mainstore has moved to a new location on the same sim! The store is now bigger and better, which will allow us to give you the best experience we can. We have now also opened up the applications for Bloggers and Models so if your interested, please swing by the store and pick up your application. I am also pleased to announce that Saleena Hax has accepted the role of General Manager, and as such any customer questions please send her way,  she will also be helping out with any of the applications for the above posts.
